Candles ARE provided for this event.
This event will be at the Aurora Municipal Center. It’s a beautiful location. We will be outside but if it’s too cold, we have a room in the building (seats 34) to meet and then light candles outside.
We begin the event promptly at 7:00 where we light the large memorial candle, offer a welcoming and a poem reading. We then move outside to the candle lighting location and read all the names for each of the babies/children who were registered for the event.
After each name has been read, the family will present and light their candle and place it in the “heart shape.” During the gathering, music is played as the candles flicker. The entire evening is about an hour and a half. There will be an opportunity for photographs with your candle within the heart.
Come join others who understand your loss and honor those children who have passed through pregnancy, infant, and child loss. Photographer Ashley Henry will be there to take photographs of each candle. You do NOT have to be present to have your baby(ies) name read or their candle lit.
To have your baby/child’s name included on the events annual memorial candle, please register by 11:59pm on October 14th, 2019. Your baby/child will have a candle lit in remembrance regardless of the time of registration and walk-in registrations are accepted.
Registration to this event automatically subscribes you to email updates from Dragonflies For Ruby. You may unsubscribe at any time.
